Epoxy vs Vuba Stone

When we introduced Vuba Stone to the market, there was some skepticism, particularly when compared to traditional epoxy systems. Many questioned how our product would face in the challenging climates across the continent. However, Vuba Stone was specifically designed to overcome these challenges.

In June this year we travelled to Boise, Idaho to visit Mr Mudd's projects that have been on the ground for one year. It was impressive to see the quality of these installations and just how well they have held up during all four seasons. Designed for flexibility, Vuba Stone has a 70% elongation to break, which allows it to move with the sub-base, significantly reducing the risk of cracking over time.

Freeze Thaw Cycle

Vuba Stone can fully freeze and thaw 100's of times without any impact on strength. Permeable pores are contained throughout the system, allowing frost and ice to be pushed out.

Through rigorous testing, we have established that Vuba Stone Surfacing outperforms block paving by an astonishing 19 times in terms of permeability. The simulation showcased Resin Stone’s ability to channel rainfall directly into the ground, eliminating surface runoff and mitigating the risk of flooding and water pollution.

Cement based overlays have the tendency to soak up water, freeze, and delaminate. I had given up the idea of being able to do a resurface product until I found Vuba. The thing that makes Vuba different is that you put it on there much thicker, so it almost works like an exoskeleton over top of the concrete or whatever base you lay it on. Also, the fact that it is a urethane resin with a UV stabilizer, the sun doesn't break it down, and it has some flex to it, which allows it to hold up long-term.

Since June of 2023, we have sold over $5,200,000 and have installed over $5,000,000.
